Shepherd triages your comment section. It enforces the rules you set, catches the dressed-up repeats, and puts the genuinely ambiguous ones in front of a person instead of guessing.

Who it is for

• Creators whose comment section has quietly become a job somebody has to do before breakfast.
• Creators who get targeted abuse rather than ordinary noise, and want it gone before their audience reads it.
• Small teams sharing one queue, who need to see who actioned what and why.

How it works

Three stages. Each is slower and more careful than the one before it, so most comments are settled long before the expensive stage sees them.

1. First, your rules

   Words, patterns and accounts you have banned are matched before anything else looks at the comment. A starter list ships with it; you can edit it, or empty it entirely.

2. Second, the dressed-up repeats

   The text is normalised before the second pass, so padded spacing and lookalike characters do not walk an obviously banned phrase straight past the first stage.

3. Last, the hard ones

   What survives is only what needs your judgement, and it is read in context by models we run on our own infrastructure. Anything still unclear goes to your review queue rather than being guessed at.

What it does not do

The things people reasonably assume, and should not.

• It does not decide what counts as abuse on your channel. You configure the categories and the thresholds; the defaults are a starting point, not a policy.
• It does not remove anything automatically until you have told it to. Automated removal stays off until you approve a policy that turns it on.
• It does not quietly hand your comments to an outside service. The automated stages run on infrastructure we control. The one feature that reaches out is the rule-drafting tool, and only when a moderator asks it to.
• It does not read your private messages, your email, or anything outside the comment sections you connect.
• It does not claim to be right every time. That is why the ambiguous ones go to a person, and why every decision is logged with its reason for you to check.

What it costs

A tiered subscription, with a free tier for a single channel and hardship access for creators who are targeted and cannot pay. The exact prices are not settled, and we would rather say so than publish a number we have to take back.
